The mission of the School Nutrition Services of Yancey County Schools is to provide our students with healthy meals at a reasonable cost. We understand that students need nutritious meals in order to learn, grow and develop lifelong, healthy eating habits.

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction announced the 2022-23 U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) policy for free and reduced price meals for children enrolled in North Carolina’s schools. The Federally-assisted school nutrition programs help ensure all students have access to wholesome, nutritious, appealing meals at school.
