Xello - Yancey County Schools uses the Xello platform to help students explore their interests, learn about careers and education, explore colleges, and keep track of their academic progress and activities during school. This valuable resource helps students with personalized college and career planning and provides a central location where students can create a personal portfolio that showcases their interests, skills and abilities. Students can update their profiles as they gain new experiences to ensure they have this information ready when needed for scholarship or job applications and to build their resumes.

US Careers Online - this resource provides videos highlighting a variety of career along with a Toolbox to assist with job search activities.
NC Careers Occupations - this resource allows you to search from more than 800 job titles or browse the fastest growing jobs in North Carolina.
Career One Stop - this resource showcases a collection of videos on hundreds of different careers arranged into 16 career clusters. The videos detail information such as tasks, work settings, education needed, and more.

College Foundation of NC (CFNC) - this is a free resource that provides information on NC community colleges, universities in the UNC system, and NC independent colleges and universities.
Scholarships
Carolinas AGC Scholarship Program - this program provides financial support for students that intend to pursue a career in Commercial Construction. There are two scholarship categories: one for University/4 Year College and one for Technical/Trade Schools. Visit the website to learn about scholarship criteria, eligibility and application requirements. The deadline for the application submission is April 4.
