Human Services Programs

Welcome to CTE Program Offerings s at Mountain Heritage High School. We are excited that you are interested in about our programs. This page outlines the pathways, courses, certifications and aligned college certificates if available within the program area.  To learn more detailed information about courses, prerequisites and college certificates, please visit the Mtn. Heritage High School Curriculum Directory. You may also talk with one of our school counselors, one of our CTE Team, or with our Career Development Coordinator. 

To earn a concentration in Human Services:

  • Students must complete four (4) CTE courses.

  • Two (2) of the courses must be required courses from one of the Human Services pathways below.

  • The remaining two (2) courses can be from any CTE pathway offered at Mountain Heritage High School.

  • NOTE:   More than four (4) courses can be taken in a Career Cluster.

Early Childhood Development Pathway

Required Courses: Child Development
Early Childhood I  (Upper Level Course)

Supplemental Courses (not required): CTE Internship

Students have the opportunity to  earn the following credentials in this pathway: CPR / First Aid

Food and Nutrition Pathway

Food and Nutrition Pathway

Required Courses: Food and Nutrition I
Food and Nutrition II  (Upper Level Course)

Supplemental Courses (not required): CTE Internship

Students have the opportunity to  earn the following credentials in this pathway:

ANSI-Accredited Food Handler Certification
ANSI-Accredited Food Protection Manager

Career and Technical Student Organization (Club)

Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)
