Scholarships for CTE Students
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2023 CAGC Foundation Scholarships
The CAGC Foundation is currently accepting applications until April 14, 2023, for its scholarship program, which was developed to assist those choosing to enter the commercial construction industry as well as those wishing to advance their skills and/or knowledge in an effort to further their commercial construction careers.
The CAGC Foundation will award up to seven total scholarships from three distinct categories:
University/Four Year College Scholarship
Technical/Trade School Scholarship
Industry Certification/Advancement Scholarship
Application Requirements
Completed CAGC Foundation Scholarship Application Form
Submit a copy of official transcripts. Not required for Industry Certification/Advancement Scholarship applicant.
Write and submit an essay of 500 words or less describing how this scholarship would help you to better yourself and the construction industry.
Submit two letters of recommendation. Only one letter of recommendation is required for Industry Certification/Advancement Scholarship applicants, which must be from an employer/supervisor.
The deadline to apply is Friday, April 14. Scholarships recipients will be notified by May 2023.

Asheville Home Builders Association Education Foundation Scholarships
The AHBA Education Foundation is an education-focused non-profit foundation. It is a 501(c)3 and is run independently of the AHBA, with its own Board of Directors, mission, and vision. While it is a separate entity, the Foundation is administered by the AHBA.
In response to labor shortages in our industry, a goal of the Education Foundation is to support and encourage young people to pursue successful careers in the trades.

North Carolina Home Builders Educational Foundation, Inc.
The North Carolina Home Builders Educational & Charitable Foundation, Inc. accepts applications for its college scholarships each year between January and April. The foundation awards scholarships based on a combination of need and merit to four-year college students entering their junior or senior year and technical school students entering their second year who have declared their major in a construction related field.
To be eligible a student must meet the following criteria:
Applicants must be nominated by an NCHBA member firm.
Immediate family members of any current trustee of the NCHB Educational & Charitable Foundation, Inc. shall not be eligible.
Awards are for one year, but scholarship winners may submit a renewal application and be considered for renewal if they make satisfactory progress in their studies.
Only full-time students will be considered. NCHBA defines a full-time student as one taking a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.

For those applying to a university or a community college
Qualifications:
Be a CTE Concentrator
Be a full-time student
3.0 unweighted grade point average (GPA)
Be accepted into an accredited college or university (including community college)
Requirements:
A copy of your high school transcript
Two letters of recommendation, at least one from a Career & Technical Education teacher/instructor
A letter of acceptance from an accredited college or university (including community college)
Completed application
